Title track ‘Magnetized’ opens the EP with a retracting, snaking bassline that builds an ever-present pressure beneath meditative loops and soft, emotive pads, while subtle soft vocal textures emerge from the low end. Next, ‘There is love’ marries a swinging, weighty bassline with serrated synth lines that weave through deep chords, producing a trippy finale that lingers long after the cut ends. ‘Roundandround’ wraps up the EP with its rolling, gritty beats and killer grooves that perfectly capture spooky minimalistic house at its finest. Despite their international recognition, SIT has remained understated, allowing the music to speak for itself. Their approach embodies the essence of Romanian minimalism: subtle, hypnotic, and deeply human, and the ‘Magnetized’ EP is no mean feat in that regard.
